Local Devon Producers
With their events cancelled, small producers are relying on online orders to keep them afloat. Here are a few of our local favourites - please support them if you can.
ARTISAN SOFT AND ALCOHOLIC DRINKS:
A family-run cider farm on the River Dart made with heritage apple varieties grown within three miles of the ciderhouse.
A range of organic beers, handmade with local spring water and suitable for vegans. Their pilsner is particularly delicious!
A delicious non-alcoholic alternative to gin, distilled in Devon with juniper and coastal botanticals. 10% off during the lockdown.
With all their pub customers closed at the moment, Red Rock Brewery has heavily discounted their beers and is offering delivery nationwide.
One of the few remaining commercial apple growers in Devon, with a range of their own apple juices and a delicious new refreshing cider in dry, medium or sweet.
A tiny coffee roaster in Exeter who we normally buy from at the city Farmers Market. They have an ever-changing selection from sustainable farmers and cooperatives around the world.
A fellow stallholder at many local food festivals, Littlestone is another tiny artisan coffee roaster who sell coffee by the bag or as a subscription service with regular deliveries.
The home of the brandy we use in our Christmas Puddings, made from apples grown in their own cider orchards, as well as a selection of liquers and their own ciders.
Devon-made wines from their own vineyards on the outskirts of Exeter - white, rose and sparkling varieties by the bottle or case.
An aromatic Devon dry gin made in tiny batches of just 100 bottles, with Dartmoor Spring water and 11 botanicals.
Made on their own 450 litre copper still in Salcombe, a traditional London Dry gin, with botanicals inspired by the Salcombe Fruiters of old.
FRIDGE AND PANTRY:
An amazing selection of mushrooms grow on the premises in Dawlish, Devon. Their produce is in high demand at the moment, so grab some why you can.
On the warm and sunny banks of the river Dart, Sharpham makes a range of award-winning wines and cheeses.
No shortages of flour here! Everything for the home baker: flour, yeast, loaf tins and even a recipe book if you're a complete beginner.
Award-winning pies, handmade in Devon and delivered all over the country. Many a Wessex Pantry pork pie has kept us going at Christmas Fairs.
Pasty, pie and sausage roll boxes delivered ready to go in the freezer. Comfort food for these challenging times.
Devon-made ethical charcuterie, including some of the best bacon you could eat, from their own pigs.
A multi-award-winning cheesemaker, with their own dairy herd on a local farm that's been in the same family for 500 years. Cheddar as it's supposed to taste!
When we started Figgy's, these amazing soup-makers had the premises next door. Locally-made organic soup, available in freezer-ready boxes or individually.
Sustainably sourced vanilla and chocolate ingredients, made just round the corner from us!
At our first ever Food Festival, 13 years ago, we had a stall next to chocolatier Chococo. Owner Claire was an inspiration and gave us some sound business advice that we still stick by today! Jo has been known to finish off a Heavenly Honeycomb Slab single-handed in about 5 minutes.
Beautiful chocolates handmade with milk from their own goats. Our particular favourites are the strawberry fondants - another treat Jo can't resist when we're at the same food fairs!
A staple of Jo's when we have a stall near them at Christmas Fairs! Their 12-piece 'Rainbow Box' gives you a treat whilst also raising funds for NHS Charities.
A family run bakery producing a range of delightful cakes to get you through the lockdown.
JAMS, CHUTNEYS, OILS AND CONDIMENTS:
From field to bottle, this cold-pressed rapeseed oil is grown and made on a beautiful family farm in South Devon.
A wide range of real homemade jams, chutneys and accompaniments, many made with fruit and vegetables grown on the farm.
Handmade jams and chutneys in a variety of creative flavours such as Cherry Bakewell (our favourite), and cream teas by post!
