Where it all began…

We are Richie and Jo Evans, a husband and wife team (plus two rapidly growing helpers) based in Devon. We’ve always made our own Christmas Puddings, and often gave them as Christmas presents for friends and family.

We received such glowing feedback that for Christmas 2007 we decided to try selling them. Over several days, in a small community bakery, we managed to make a hundred puddings to see how they would sell. We needn’t have worried as they quickly sold out.

A growing success

After our successful first Christmas, we stayed at the community bakery for three years, renting it for just a few days at a time.

We couldn’t store anything at the bakery, so all the ingredients had to be brought from home each day and the finished puddings taken home when we were done.

Even in July, our house would be filled with the delicious aromas of Christmas!

our artisan bakery

In 2010 we decided it was time to expand and find our own premises. We moved into a small unit on a lovely farm near Exeter where we continued to grow, making more and more puddings each year.

After six years on the farm, we purchased our own little bakery in Woodbury Salterton where we remain today.

From there we supply Christmas puddings to customers all over the UK, including some of the best farm shops and independent retailers in the country.

Where we are today…

We still hand make, wrap and dispatch all our Christmas puddings ourselves. Cutting corners isn’t something we believe in, so we never out-source production and we still put quality at the heart of everything we do.

We love being part of Christmas for so many families. You can order for yourself or as a Christmas gift on our web shop. Or if you prefer you can call or email us and we’ll take your order that way – especially useful if you want to send puddings to several people.
